Why should I incorporate a home elevator in my design today?
To incorporate a home elevator into your architectural plans today is important. Building and designing homes with an elevator is often overlooked and comes as an after thought. Which means that down the track the home may need to be modified to accommodate a lift leading to an increase in costs compared to one where the lift is already allowed for.

Why should I purchase a home elevator?
Incorporating an elevator into your home provides the following benefits:
• Convenience and greater accessibility within your home
• Ease of carrying shopping and items within your home
• Increases the value of your home and appeals to a broader market when selling.
• Adds appeal to your home.
• You can stay within your own home for a longer period of time.
• A solution if mobility is a concern
• People are living longer thus the need to provide accessible homes is the future.
• Home owners whose elderly parents live with them and require an accessible mobility solution.

Can I afford an elevator?
I misperception is that an elevator is considered a luxury item that only the wealthy can afford.
However purchasing an elevator is actually more affordable than you think.
In fact purchasing a residential elevator can be as low as the price of a car and if you take into consideration the building costs of your home, a home elevator will actually add value to your home.

Can a residential elevator can actually decrease construction costs?
When you factor in land costs along with construction costs it can actually be more expensive to build outward than to build upward. So incorporating an elevator into your home can in many cases actually save you money.

Will adding an elevator add to the resale value of my home?

Installing an elevator will make your home more accessible and will appeal to a wider market share of potential buyers, providing a competitive edge that will sell your home faster.

Many buyers may not purchase a home they may have really liked because of accessibility issues, especially with an aging population who will not want to face the challenge of stairs on a daily basis.

A elevator also appeals to home purchasers whose elderly parents live with them and require an accessible mobility solution.

Can home lifts be used for interior or exterior use?
All of our home lift products can be installed indoors or outdoors, so if you do not have any room indoors that is fine.

Do I need to crane the lift into my home?
No you don’t. All of the lifts within the Easy Living Home Elevator product range are assembled on site. This means we don’t need to crane the lift in from the top of the shaft.
This benefits you, as there are no hold ups waiting for the lift to arrive, no street blockages and no crane hire costs which can run into thousands of dollars.

Does the price vary whether I select the smallest or largest size in your range of lifts?
Whether you select the smallest or the largest car size within a particular range – it does not alter the price at all. Thus you are better off selecting the largest lift car size for your application.

What is the maximum height your home lifts can travel?
The maximum height is 12m from ground Finished Floor Level (FFL) to top floor Finished Floor Level (FFL)

What is the maximum number of levels allowed for a residential lift?
Up to 5 or 6 levels can be incorporated.

Is it much more expensive to incorporate an extra stop/level?
As most of your investment is incorporated into the initial set up which consists of the guide rails and the lift car – any extra stops only incorporates the extra cost of the doors for each level. Therefore it is much more feasible to incorporate every level within your home.

Where is the location of the load bearing wall for the home lift?

The load bearing wall is located on one side only which can be positioned on any side or rear walls.
We have a wide variety of options available. Please speak to our highly qualified lift consultants for more information.

What type of quality finishes do you have in your standard range?
Our lift finishes from the large standard range including our lightweight granite stone flooring selection, various types of stainless steel colours and textures, mirrors, glass and over 230 RAL colours can be easily accommodated to match the lift with your homes décor and design. We also have a variety of doors and lift controls to select from.
